Patricia Delgado Martínez
Professionally, she is linked to single-crystal X-ray diffraction and crystallography, fields from which she has not separated since she began her scientific career.
She studied Chemistry from 2006 to 2011 at the UCM, specializing in Fundamental Chemistry. Her productive Final Degree Project encouraged her to continue along the path of research, reason why she completed a master's degree in Chemical Science and Technology and a PhD in Chemical Sciences, under the direction of Dr. José Luis Priego Bermejo and Dr. Rodrigo González Prieto. It was during this time when she approached the world of crystallography through the crystals she obtained by different methods. The importance of structural elucidation from the data obtained by the single-crystal XRD technique led to the formation, little by little, of this field.
Only six months after finishing her PhD (in March 2016), she joined the X-Ray Diffraction Unit of the UCM, being currently the technician in charge of the single-crystal section.
Currently, she continues to attend courses and training schools in order to offer the best service to the users of this center (UDRX).
