Luisa Juarez
PhD in English, Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
Researcher at the Instituto Franklin-UAH and Associate Professor at Universidad de Alcalá. Her main areas of research are narratives in English, including the categories of class, ethnicity and gender, with special attention to the production of Jewish-American writers; the representation and commemoration of the Holocaust; and memory and trauma in cultural studies.
She participated in the research project “Confessionalization and Proto-Nationalism of the Spanish Monarchy. A Study of the Military Orders of Chivalry, the Third Franciscan Order and the Universidad de Alcalá,” and is currently a member of the research project “E Pluribus ‘Non’ Unum: Alternative Lineages in American Modern Days.”
