La expedición PALEOGREEN en Zackenberg , norte de Groenlandia, se ha desarrollado con gran éxito del 16 de julio al 9 de agosto del 2018 a pesar del gran retraso en el deshielo de los fiordos que se ha experimentado este año  en la región. Se han recogido unas 40 muestras para datación por cosmogénicos y 5 sondeos de lagos, cuyo análisis permitirá conocer, por primera vez, la evolución de los glaciares en los últimos 20.000 años en ese sector de Groenlandia. En dicho proyecto participan los miembros del Departamento de Geografía de la UCM David Palacios, Nuria de Andrés y José María Fernández

The PALEOGREEN expedition in Zackenberg, north of Greenland, has been developed with great success from July 16 to August 9, 2018, despite the great delay in the melting of the fjords that has been experienced this year in the region. Around 40 samples have been collected for cosmogenic dating and 5 lake cores, whose analysis will reveal, for the first time, the evolution of the glaciers in the last 20,000 years in that sector of Greenland . The members of the Department of Geography of the UCM David Palacios, Nuria de Andrés and José María Fernández participate in this project.
