Gabriel Echeverría
Echeverría holds a European Ph.D. cum laude in International Migration and Social Integration from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Bologna (Italy). He is currently a “Maria Zambrano” post-doctoral researcher at the Applied Sociology Department of the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain.

Instituto Universitario de Investigación Ortega y Gasset (Madrid, Spain). His research topics address different aspects of contemporary international migration processes from a multidisciplinary perspective. Within this empirical field of research, his work has explored theoretical concepts such as migration regime, control policies and citizenship, adopting a systemic perspective. He is the author of numerous articles in international journals, book chapters and technical reports. His current research project investigates the phenomenon of ‘virtual migration’ – transnational remote work – which, thanks to technologies, is rapidly involving different productive sectors and a growing number of workers globally. He has published 4 peer reviewed articles in Q1 journals, 3 non peer-reviewed articles, 8 Chapters in peer reviewed books, 4 technical report, two books (2023, Foros y Debates, Centro de Estudios Políticos y Constitucionales; 2020.
