Matías Martínez is a professor of German literature at the University of Wuppertal (Germany). His research interests include narratology, concepts of literary authorship, forms of religious literature, Romanticism, and modern poetry. He is founding director of the "Center for Narratological Research" / "Zentrum für Erzählforschung" at the University of Wuppertal, co-editor of the interdisciplinary e-journal for narratological research "Diegesis" and co-editor of the series "Narratologia" (de Gruyter).
