José Manuel Almudi Cid

Professor of Financial and Taxation Law at the Complutense University of Madrid accredited by the National Agency of Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation (ANECA), he is graduated and doctor in Law at the UCM, and holds a Master´s Degree in Tax Advisory by the Centre of Financial Studies.

Author of four monographs and more than a hundred articles, book chapters and legal arguments published in expert´s journals. Co-author of the manuals Lecciones de Derecho Financiero y Tributario and Sistema Fiscal Español. He has directed and coordinated different collectives works, published by relevant national publishers.

Speaker in academic and expert forums, in Spain and abroad, and he joined as a member of the support team of the commission in charge of the evaluation of the current General Act Law draft. Granted with the UCM´s PhD Extraordinary Award, he received as well the Tax Studies Institute award and the Economic and Social Council of Madrid award.

He has directed and participated in national and international research projects funded by public and private entities. After three six-years of investigation, he had directed six PhD thesis. Besides, he is the director of the Revista Técnica Tributaria, edited by the Spanish Association of Tax Advisors; furthermore, he belongs to several editorial advisory boards and he is evaluator of relevant scientific publications.

On regards of university management, he has been in charge of the Financial and Taxation Law Department of the UCM. Moreover, he has been member of the Dissemination Board, coordinator of the PhD Committee, and vice-dean of postgraduate courses at the Faculty of Law in the Complutense University of Madrid. Today, he is director of the School of Legal Practice in the UCM.
