Jorge Augusto Luengo López
Jorge Augusto Luengo López is a professor in the Department of Philology and Translation at the Pablo Olavide University of Seville. Since July 2018, he has held the position of General Director of Postgraduate Monitoring and Quality at the Pablo de Olavide University of Seville, having previously been Vice Dean of Quality and Communication of the Faculty of Humanities (2016-2018) and Head of Quality of the PhD Programme in History and Humanistic Studies: Europe, America, Art and Languages (2015-2018).
He holds a PhD from the Jaume I University of Castellón (Extraordinary Award), an institution where he taught doctoral classes and continues to do so on the Master's Degree course in Applied Research in Feminist, Gender and Citizenship Studies of the University Institute for Feminist and Gender Studies Purificación Escribano. He also has a PhD from the University of the Basque Country - Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (Extraordinary Award). He received the Victoria Kent Research Award from the Seminar on Interdisciplinary Studies on Women at the University of Malaga (2007) and the Presen Sáez de Descatllar Research Award from the Centre for the Coordination of Gender Studies of the Universities of the Valencian Community (2008 ). He also received the National Award from the Spanish Association for Women's History Research (AEIHM) (2008), an entity of which he has been a member of the Board of Directors since October 2014. From 2008 to 2010 he taught at the Université de Franche-Comté de Besançon, when he was awarded the Postdoctoral Grant from the Ministry of Education to develop his research at the Centre de Recherche sur l'Espagne Contemporaine (CREC) of the Université Paris 3 - Sorbonne Nouvelle of which he still belongs.
He participated in numerous research projects, including: Gender, Commitment and Transgression in Spain, 1890-2016, Multiple discrimination against women due to their disability, social exclusion or ethnic minority status: in particular, the alleged cases of migration or refuge or Bibliographies of Ibero-American liberal women. Comparative perspectives. Among his major publications are La otra cara de la Bohemia (2009) y Gozos and ocios de la Mujer Moderna (2008).
