Eugenio Ramón Luján Martínez
Eugenio Ramón Luján Martínez is a professor of Indo-European Linguistics at the Faculty of Philology of the Complutense University of Madrid. He has a Degree in Classical Philology and a PhD in philology also from the Complutense University of Madrid, a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Comparative Grammar from the École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris and a University Expert Diploma in Intelligence Services from the Instituto Universitario General Gutiérrez Mellado of the UNED, the National Distance Education University of Spain.
His career in research has been devoted fundamentally to the field of Indo-European linguistics, developing studies and comparative works on the languages of that family, with a perspective linked to general linguistics studies, in two aspects: the adaptation of methodological approaches from other areas to the study of Indo-European languages and the development of new methodological lines based on studies of the Indo-European family.
Among the ancient languages of the Indo-European family, he has specially researched ancient Greek (especially the Mycenaean dialect), Sanskrit and Celtic languages and, in relation to these, the group of Paleo-Hispanic languages (Iberian, Celtiberian and Lusitanian). He has also analyzed language contact and bilingualism in the ancient world.
He is the author of numerous articles, book chapters and books on this field, among which the following can be noted:
