Chair

Full Professor of Latin Philology at UCM. Director of the UCM Hispanic Epigraphic Archive, the Hispania Epigraphica series and the UCM Research Group entitled Textos epigráficos antiguos de la Península Ibérica y del Mediterráneo griego (G. 930750). Since February 2018, she has been Director of the Classical Philology Department of the UCM School of Philology.

Her research is particularly focused on the editing and study of epigraphic and literary texts from the Tardo-Ancient and Mediaeval era, especially the Visigoth era. She has 6 six-year periods of research and 1 transfer six-year period, +1,180 quotes on Google Scholar, index h: 16, index 10: 36. She has consistently run various research projects both nationally and regionally, and has formed part of European projects (Ubi erat lupa -2002-0462/001 CLT CA 22- European Union, Culture Programme 2000, led in Spain by Dr. J. Gómez-Pantoja), Project for the new edition of the Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum de Hispania (CIL II2), by the Science Academy of Berlin and Brandenburg She currently runs the Networks Project entitled Archivo Virtual para las Investigaciones sobre Patrimonios Epigráficos Medievales de la Comunidad de Madrid (AVIPES-CM, Ref. H2019/HUM-5742, with sponsorship from the European Social Fund) and is a member of the projects by the Ministry of Science and Innovation entitled Corpus de manuscritos de la Biblioteca Nacional de Madrid para la Historia Antigua de España (Ref. PID2019-109530GB-I00), led by Mª del Rosario Hernando Sobrino, and Estudios de léxico paleohispánico (Ref. PID2019-106606GB-C-3-1), led by Eugenio R. Luján Martínez, both members of Hispania Epigraphica.
