Adoración Pérez Troya is Professor of Commercial Law in the Department of Legal Sciences of the University of Alcalá de Henares (UAH) and Director of the Equality Unit of the same university.

He has an extensive research career. She is Chief Investigator (CI) of the recognised research group Business Law and Financial Markets and participates in numerous national and international research projects, among them, La tecnología financiera y su aplicabilidad a start ups y pymes de Castilla-la Mancha, financed by the Castilla-la Mancha Council, of which she is also CI.

She is a member of the faculty of the PhD Programme in Institutions and Markets at the University of Siena (Italy). Member and guarantor of the PhD Programme in Law of the Univ. De Alcalá. CI of the Law line of the Institute for Research in Latin American Studies (IELAT). Member of the Steering Committee of the European Intellectual Property Teachers´ Network (EIPTN), of the board of the Editorial Juruá (Brazil) and of the Technical Committee of the Bankruptcy Law Yearbook (Spain). Anonymous referee for various scientific journals. She was a Consultant for the European Patent Academy of the European Patent Office and a member of the evaluation and selection committee of FPI and FPU fellows of the Ministry for several years. She is also the Coordinator of the Law, Economics and Translation Studies (LETS) teaching innovation group at UAH.

She is the author of 3 monographs and dozens of articles in specialised journals and book chapters, as well as coordinator of collective works in prestigious publishing houses.
