Qi Li
My name’s Qi [tɕʰíː] and I’m from mainland China. I graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid with a BA in English Studies in 2016. I obtained an MA in English Linguistics from the same university in 2017.
After completing my studies, I returned home and started working in the education industry. I taught the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) to students who were studying A-levels. Later I taught Spanish for the purpose of taking the National College Entrance Examination. In addition, I led a small team working on an online Spanish course designed for effective learning.
In 2020, I came back to my alma mater and started my new academic adventure as a full-time PhD student. My doctoral dissertation focuses on a contrastive analysis between English, Spanish and Mandarin. I find the disciplines in applied linguistics quite fascinating, so I’d prefer to work on the areas that are related to these disciplines.
