POSITION AT UCM: Full Professor (CU)

CURRENT RESEARCH INTERESTS: Discourse, Semantics and Pragmatics, with specific interest in Cognitive Linguistics, Critical Discourse Studies and Cross-linguistic Studies.

PhD SUPERVISION EXPERIENCE:  9 doctoral dissertations supervised and completed since 1999, two of them co-supervised. The last one of these dissertations (Nov 2018) was a Joint Doctoral Thesis UCM-VU (Vrije Universiteit) Amsterdam, co-supervisor: Prof. Dr. Alan J. Cienki (VU Amsterdam).

I WOULD NOT WELCOME ANY DISSERTATION PROPOSALS: Regrettably, I cannot take on any other PhD Students. I am currently supervising or co-supervising four PhD dissertations.
