GENERAL RESEARCH OBJECTIVE OF THE GROUP
The Nanosensors and Nanomachines Group (NANOSMAQ) of the Complutense University of Madrid is made up of a multidisciplinary team of researchers from the Departments of Analytical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences. The lines of research developed by the group are based on the application of Nanomaterial Engineering, Organic Synthesis and Nanobiotechnology to the design of new systems for the analytical detection of compounds of biomedical, food and environmental interest, as well as to the construction of autonomous enzyme-controlled nanomachines aimed at the intelligent release of drugs.
LINES OF THE RESEARCH GROUP AND RESPONSIBLE RESEARCHER
- Development of intelligent systems for the controlled release of drugs
- Design and preparation of hybrid nanomaterials and nanocomposites
- Development of sensors and biosensors for clinical, food and environmental analysis
- Design of biomolecule-controlled nanomachines
