Biography: Palmira Villa Valverde graduated in Physical Sciences from the University of Cantabria (1990). She moved to France granted with an European scholarship to work at IBM France. In 1993 she joined the NMR Unit of the Complutense University of Madrid. Hes entire professional career has been developed at the UCM Research Assistance Center and currently at BioImagen Complutense. She is member of CIBERES since 2009. Her research line focuses on metabonomic analysis by NMR spectroscopy and more specifically by the HR-MAS (High Resolution Magic Angle Spinning) technique. The design of RF coils for MRI equipment is another of her interests. She is currently developing his doctoral thesis on this topic with Jesus Ruiz-Cabello as director. She is author of several scientific articles and books, and scientific member of the group’s research projects.
