My scientific interests focus on different groups of arthropods, especially dung beetles (Scarabaeoidea) and butterflies (Lepidoptera), in the fields of ecology, biogeography, systematics and conservation biology.
Currently, I am doing my PhD on trophic preferences of dung and carrion beetles in a pasture system of the Guadarrama mountain range, in order to determine the ability of dung beetles to adapt to different food sources. On the other hand, I have carried out butterfly monitoring works in different parks of Madrid due to its role as bioindicators of the environmental quality.
