Retired Professor

My research focuses on the distribution, biology and conservation of terrestrial vertebrates, especially birds. I have always been very interested in the problems of their conservation, both from a population and community perspective, especially with regard to the protection of fauna at the landscape scale. Lately I have been interested in the application of this knowledge to nature conservation in countries where there is still a lack of professionals capable of tackling these problems.
