Inés Jiménez-Fernández
PhD student
I hold a degree in Biology from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master's degree in Biodiversity from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Currently, I am at the beginning stages of my doctoral thesis, which aims to study the impact of urban gardens on the biodiversity of pollinating insects. My scientific interests revolve around the study of various arthropod groups, with a particular focus on bees (Apoidea), ants (Formicidae), and butterflies (Lepidoptera). I am interested in aspects related to ecology, population dynamics, and biogeography. I have prior experience in biodiversity monitoring of pollinators, and I actively participate in workshops aimed at raising awareness about urban butterflies.
