Itziar Jericó
My interest is focused on studying evolution at different scales, thanks to the potential development of genomic and bioinformatic tools. Previously, I have worked on identifying and analyzing patterns of selective pressure and adaptation using human genomes from an anthropological perspective. Currently, my doctoral thesis aims to discover the mechanisms that promote heterogeneity in competition among birds as hosts of malaria parasites, as well as the development of methodological strategies for the analysis and quantification of host competition.
