Since I was a child I have had a passion for animals and health, which is the main reason I made the decision to study Veterinary Medicine at UCM. During my education, I found that learning about the issue of antibiotic resistance in my Microbiology classes impacted my education path, and I decided to participate in different projects like Small World Initiative (SWI).
During my studies I was involved different rescue centers around the world, lending a hand in the clinics and also participating in their research, which helped to develop my keen interest in Wildlife and Conservation Medicine. My two worlds are united under the concept One Health, were wildlife, environment, humans and diseases are completely connected and so is the perfect research area for myself.
