EVA FERNÁNDEZ DEL CAMPO es profesora de de arte contemporáneo y asiático en el departamento de Historia del Arte III de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Doctora en Historia del Arte en 1996, su tesis obtuvo el Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado. Desde 2008 es profesora visitante en el Instituto Empresa donde enseña en el diferentes cursos de postgrado, dentro del “World Awarness Programme”; también ha sido profesora visitante en la Universidad de Salamanca, Jawaharlal Nerhu University, en Nueva Delhi y el SOAS, en la University of London. Ha trabajado en numerosos proyectos de investigación internacionales y desde 2008 dirige un equipo internacional de investigación financiado por el Programa de I+D+I del Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad. EVA FERNÁNDEZ DEL CAMPO is currently Professor of Contemporary and Asian Art in the Department of Art History III in the Complutense University of Madrid. PhD in History of Art in 1996 she obtained the “UCM Extraordinary PhD Award”. Since 2008 she is visiting professor at the Instituto Empresa Business School were she teaches in the postgraduate courses in the “World Awarness Programme”, and also in the University of Salamanca. She has been invited as a research scholar in the School of Arts and Aesthetics, Jawaharlal Nerhu University, New Delhi, and the SOAS, in the University of London. She has been working in several research international projects and, since 2008 she directs an International Research Team, financed by the I+D programme. Eva Fernández del Campo has been curator of several exhibitions, and has published many articles and several books among which: El arte de la India. Historia e historias (Indian art. CAYETANA IBÁÑEZ LÓPEZ es investigadora UCM y realiza su tesis doctoral, que versa sobre los cuentos de los artistas contemporáneos en India y el lenguaje plástico basado en la oralidad y en la narratividad. Confluyen en él varias líneas comunes al proyecto: el ritmo, la proyección estética como vehículo de aprendizaje y la intersección de lenguajes plásticos.
CAYETANA IBÁÑEZ LÓPEZ is UCM researcher and works on her PHD thesis, which is about the tales of contemporary artists in India and the plastic language based on orality and narrativity. Her work converges in several lines common to the project: rhythm, aesthetics projection as a vehicle for learning, and the intersection of plastic languages.
IRENE LÓPEZ ARNÁIZ es contratada predoctoral con cargo al Proyecto de Investigación I+D Trama. Su tesis doctoral versa sobre la presencia de las danzas de India y del Sudeste Asiático en la configuración del arte de vanguardia europeo, particularmente de la pintura y escultura de la segunda mitad del siglo XIX y principios del XX.
IRENE LÓPEZ ARNÁIZ is predoctoral hired with charge to the Research Project I+D Trama. Her doctoral thesis deals with the presence of the dances of India and Southeast Asia in the configuration of European avant-garde art, particularly of painting and sculpture from the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
HENAR RIVIÈRE RÍOS es Doctora en Historia del Arte (Mención Europea) por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Se licenció con Premio Nacional Fin de Carrera en dicho centro y realizó estudios de postgrado en la Freie Universität de Berlín como becaria del DAAD (Servicio Alemán de Intercambio Académico) y "laCaixa". Está especializada en Fluxus, la primera red internacional y transatlántica de artistas, así como en el grupo Zaj y, en general, en las nuevas prácticas artísticas que se desarrollaron a partir de la década de 1960 abriendo el camino a un nuevo modo de entender el arte más horizontal y rizomático.
HENAR RIVIÈRE RÍOS holds a PhD in Art History. She received it from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where she also graduated with National Career Award. She completed postgraduate studies at the Freie Universität Berlin with a scholarship from DAAD (Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst) and “laCaixa”. She is a scholar of Fluxus, the first international and transatlantic artists’ network, as well as of the group Zaj and, in general, of the new artistic practices developed from the 1960s onwards, which were pioneering a new way of understanding art as a horizontal and rhizomatic practice
SERGIO R. ALISTE es Doctor en Historia del Arte (Mención Europea) por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid con una tesis sobre la vinculación de la enseñanza artística y el arte moderno en la escuela de arte Kala-Bhavana (Santiniketan, Bengala Occidental, India), durante la primera mitad del siglo XX. Ha sido investigador visitante en SOAS, University of London y en el American Institute of Indian Studies de Delhi, e investigador invitado por Visva-Bharati University, Bengala Occidental. Actualmente coordina el Título de Especialista UCM en Arte de India.
SERGIO R. ALISTE holds a PhD in Art History (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) with a thesis on the linking of artistic education and modern art at the School of Art Kala-Bhavana (Santiniketan, West Bengal, India) during the first half of the twentieth century. He has been visiting researcher in the SOAS, University of London, and in the American Institute of Indian Studies, Delhi. Also has been invited as researcher by Visva-Bharati University, West Bengal. Currently he coordinates the "Art of India" postgraduate UCM course
ANDREA DE LA RUBIA GÓMEZ-MORÁN es becaria FPU e investiga el proceso de hibridación del arte de Nepal con las técnicas creativas características de occidente, y la reconstrucción la identidad nepalí como una nueva identidad moderna a través del lugar, memoria y cuerpo en el escenario transcultural de Katmandú.
ANDREA DE LA RUBIA GÓMEZ-MORÁN is Fellow FPU and researches about the process of hybridization in the art of Nepal with the creative techniques characteristic of the West, and the reconstruction of nepalí identity with a new modern identity through the place, memory and body, in Kathmandu´s transcultural scenario.

TERESA AIZPÚN BOBADILLA holds a PHD in Philosophy from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. Her teaching activity started in México (Universidad Pamamericana, D.F) and currently she lectures at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, in Madrid. After several years devoted to the field of Anthropology from the perspective of creation, she focused on the creative activity of the human being in general, and its relevance for that human being. Her work is currently centered on the consciousness as the creative capacity of man, not only with regard to the art works or to the self, but to everything that is real.
ANA ESTHER SANTAMARÍA FERNÁNDEZ es Profesora en la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. Doctora en Historia del Arte por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y Diplomada en Conservación y Restauración de Bienes Culturales por la ESRCBC de Madrid. Su investigación, centrada en la relación entre el arte y la naturaleza, está focalizada actualmente en el análisis del arte y los elementos culturales como valores fundamentales en cuanto a la conservación y preservación de los entornos naturales.
ANA ESTHER SANTAMARÍA FERNÁNDEZ is Associate Professor in Rey Juan Carlos University, Madrid. Doctor in History of Art by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and Diploma in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage by the ESRCBC of Madrid. Her research, focused on the relationship between art and nature, is currently centered on the analysis of art and cultural elements as fundamental values regarding the conservation and preservation of natural environments.

KATERINA BREZINOVA is an associate professor at the department of International Relations and European Studies at the Metropolitan University Prague and a head of the Iberoamerican Center at the same university. Her work is concerned with the processes of identification, migration and new political identities in transnational contexts with a special focus on the regions of Latin America, and Central and Eastern Europe. Her award winning Ph.D. thesis on political iconography of the Chicano Movement in the United States of America was published by the Charles University Press in 2014. As a visiting professor and researcher, she has collaborated with the Institute of Latin American Studies at the Charles University in Prague, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Washington University in Saint Louis. U.S., EL Colegio de Mexico, Mexico and Universidade Sao Paulo, Brazil.
BLANKA KNOTKOVÁ-ČAPKOVÁ es Directora del Departamento y responsable del programa de estudios de Estudios Asiáticos en la Universidad Metropolitana de Praga. Al mismo tiempo imparte docencia en el Departamento de Estudios de Género de la Facultad de Humanidades de la Charles University de Praga. Su investigación se centra en las cuestiones de género en la literatura y cultura moderna bengalíes. Ha publicado sus trabajos en la República Checa, República Eslovaca, India, Países Bajos, Polonia y Estados Unidos. Ha sido invitada como profesora en India, Polonia y Eslovaquia. Traduce poesía desde el bengalí y textos académicos desde el inglés.
BLANKA KNOTKOVÁ-ČAPKOVÁ is Head of the Department and the Guarantor of the study programme of Asian Studies, Metropolitan University, Prague, and lectures at the Department of Gender Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Charles University, Prague. Her research focuses on gender analysis of modern Bengali literature and culture. Her studies and books on topics from Gender, Cultural and Indian Studies we published in the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, India, the Netherlands, Poland and USA. She was invited as a guest-lecturer to India, Poland and Slovakia. She translates from Bengali (poetry) and English (mainly academic texts).
MÁRIA STRASÁKOVA obtuvo su doctorado en Teoría e Historia de las Literaturas de Asia y África, Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Charles University de Praga. Ocupa el puesto de Directora del Centro de Estudios Indo-Pacíficos en la Metropolitan University de Praga, afiliada al Departamento de Estudios Asiáticos, donde también imparte docencia. Sus líneas de investigación incluye Historia de Vietnam, políticas y cultura del siglo XX así como cuestiones sobre seguridad en la zona de Asia-Pacífico. Ha sido coautora de varias publicaciones tales como: “Vietnamese history” (NLN, 2008), “Dictionary of Vietnamese Writers” (Libri, 2011) con sus compañeros del Departamento de Estudios Vietnamitas de la Charles University, y “South China Sea in International Relations” co-editada con Dr. Petra Andelova (MUP Press, 2013).
MÁRIA STRASÁKOVA earned her doctorate in theory and history of Asian and African literatures, Faculty of Arts and Letters, Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic. She holds the post of the Head of the Center for Indo-Pacific Studies at Metropolitan University Prague, affiliated to the Department of Asian Studies, where she also teaches. Her research areas include Vietnamese history, politics and culture of the 20th century as well as current security issues in the Asia-Pacific. She has co-authored several publications such as: “Vietnamese history” (NLN, 2008), “Dictionary of Vietnamese Writers” (Libri, 2011) with her colleagues from the Department of Vietnamese Studies at Charles University, and “South China Sea in International Relations” co-edited with Dr. Petra Andelova (MUP Press, 2013) .
MICHAL KOLMAŠ obtuvo su doctorado en Relaciones Internacionales por la Charles University, Praga, en 2014. Sus líneas de investigación combinan Teoría de las Relacione Internacionales (occidental y no occidental, cuestiones identitarias en paticular), cooperación y estudios de seguridad, así como estudios regionales de Asia (Japón en particular). Disfrutó de una estancia de dos años como investigador en las principales universidades de Japón. Sus publicaciones académicas contemplan un libro individual y dos en coautoría, dos artículos por revisión de pares y seis capítulos de libro. Actualmente se centra en cuestiones de formación de identidad y sus implicaciones en las políticas de seguridad.
MICHAL KOLMAŠ obtained his Ph.D. in international relations from Charles University in Prague in 2014. His research interest combines IR theory (Western and non-Western, identity in particular), qualitative methodology (i.e. discourse analysis), cooperation and security studies and regional studies of Asia (Japan in particular). He spent two years as a researcher at Japan’s foremost universities. His publications include three (1 authored, 2 co-authored) academic books, two peer-reviewed journal articles and six book chapters. Currently, he focuses on identity formation and its implications for security policies.
TEREZA JIROUTOVÁ KYNČLOVÁ tiene un Master en Estudios Angloamericanos, Ciencia Política y Estudios de Género por la Charles University de Praga. Actualmente es doctoranda en Literatura Americana. Su investigación se centra en feminismo chicano, estudios de frontera, teoría postcolonial, crítica literaria feminista y derechos de mujeres. Es coeditora de Cesta Amerikou: Antologie povídek regionálních spisovatelek [Cruzando América: Una antología de historias cortas de escritoras regionales americanas] (Brno, HOST, 2011) para la cual tradujo una selección de textos de escritoras chicanas al checo por primera vez. Imparte docencia en el Departamento de Estudios de Género de la Charles University y es secretaria del Departamento de Relaciones Internacionales y Estudios Europeos en la Universidad Metropolitana de Praga.
TEREZA JIROUTOVÁ KYNČLOVÁ holds MAs in English/American studies, political science, and gender studies from Charles University, Prague. She is a PhD candidate in American literature. Her research focuses on Chicana feminism, border theory, postcolonial studies, feminist literary criticism, and women’s rights. She is a coeditor of Cesta Amerikou: Antologie povídek regionálních spisovatelek [Across America: An Anthology of Short Stories by American Regional Women Writers] (Brno, HOST, 2011) for which she translated selected Chicana writings into Czech for the first time. She is a lecturer in the Department of Gender Studies at Charles University and secretary of the Department of International Relations and European Studies at Metropolitan University Prague.

MAREK ČANĚK estudió Sociología en la Universidad Central de Varsovia, Relaciones Internacionales en la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales de la Charles University y obtuvo su doctorado en el Instituto de Ciencias Políticas de la Charles University, centrado en cuestiones de regulación política y social en la migración laboral en la República Checa. Entre 2004 y 2008 trabajó como coordinador del Programa Migratorio del Multicultural Center Prague. Desde 2012 ocupó el cargo de Policy Officer en el consorcio de organizaciones no gubernamentales que trabajaron con inmigrantes en la República Checa. Desde febrero de 2013 ejerce como director del Centro Multicultural de Praga.

MAREK ČANĚK studied sociology at the Central University in Warsaw, international relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Charles University and doctoral studies at the Institute of Politics science at the Charles University, where he focused on the political and social regulation of labour migration in the Czech Republic. From 2004 to 2008, he worked as the coordinator of the Migration Program of the Multicultural Center Prague. Since 2012, he was a Policy Officer at the Consortium of Non-governmental organizations, working with migrants in the Czech Republic. Since February 2013 he has been the director of the Multicultural Center Prague.
KATEŘINA SEQUESNOVÁ estudió Pedagogía y Etnología en la Facultad de Artes de la Charles University de Praga. Ha estado cooperando con el Multicultural Center de Praga desde 2011, donde se ha especializado en desarrollo educativo global y en concreto en el Proyecto La Ngonpo, que ella coordina. El proyecto La Ngonpo está pasado en un acuerdo de cooperación entre escuelas checas y escuelas de India y Nepal. Desde 2013 ha estado cooperando con Cáritas República Checa en otro proyecto de educación global como formadora en talleres destinados a alumnos de escuelas primeras y secundarias.
KATEŘINA SEQUESNOVÁ studied Pedagogy and Ethnology at the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University in Prague. She has been cooperating with Multicultural center Prague since 2011 where she has specialised in global development education and especially the La Ngonpo project, which she coordinates. The La Ngonpo is based on partnership between Czech schools and schools from India and Nepal. Since 2013 she has also cooperated with Caritas Czech Republic on another project on global education in the capacity of a trainer of workshops for primary and secondary school students.
ADRIANA QUBAIOVÁ es doctoranda en Estudios de Género en la Central European University, centrándose en la región de Oriente Medio. Obtuvo su MA en Estudios de Género en 2010 y ha estado implicada en diferentes proyectos de cooperación en Oriente Medio y Europa del Este. En su investigación de tesis doctoral se ocupa del concepto de Orientalismo a través del trabajo de Joseph Massad (discípulo de Edward Said y autor de "Re-orientating Desire") y concretamente en la cuestión de las políticas sobre la sexualidad en Líbano.
ADRIANA QUBAIOVÁ is a PhD Candidate in Gender Studies in the Central European University with a focus on the Middle East region. She obtained her MA in Gender Studies in 2010 and has been involved in a number of collaborative projects both in the Middle East and in Eastern Europe. In her PhD research she engages with the concept of Orientalism through the work of Joseph Massad (Edward Said’s pupil and author of “Re-Orienting Desire”) and specifically in the topic of sexuality politics in Lebanon.

CHARLOTTE HORLYCK es Profesora en Historia del Arte Coreano. Actualmente trabaja en varias lineas de investigación, como Cultura materal y visual de la Península Coreana, prácticas funerarias en la Corea premoderna, especialmente en el periodo Koryŏ, y otras artes de ese mismo periodo, especialmente espejos de bronce y cerámica. También estudia coleccionismo contemporáneo de arte coreano, políticas museísticas y de patrimonio, así como cuestiones de género.

JOHANNES BELTZ se ha formado en Teología Protestante en Halle, Estrasburgo y París y más tarde se especializó en religiones indias por la Universidad de Lausana y París. Durante sus estancias en Maharastra (India) estudió la emancipación de castas intocables y su conversión al budismo. Presentó su tesis doctoral en 1999. Desde 2000 a 2004 perteneció al German Orissa Research Project y desarrolló varios meses de trabajo de campo en zonas rurales de Orissa occidental. En 2001 llegó al Museo Rietberg para cubrir unas pácticas. En 2003 fue ascendido a conservador adjunto en arte de India y del Sudeste Asiático. Desde 2006 es director del departamento de conservación del Museo Rietberg, y además de ello imparte docencia en la Universidad de Zurich en las áreas de budismo e hinduismo.

JOHANNES BELTZ After having pursued studies in Protestant theology in Halle, Strasbourg and Paris, I specialized in Indian and religious studies at the Universities of Lausanne and Paris. During the course of my long sojourns in Maharashtra, I studied the emancipation of the untouchable castes and their conversion to Buddhism. I presented my doctoral thesis in 1999. From 2000 to 2004 I joined the German Orissa Research Project and effectuated several months of fieldwork in rural western Orissa. In 2001 I came to the Museum Rietberg in Zurich for an internship. In 2003 I was promoted and became assistant curator of South and South East Asian Art. Since 2006 I"m heading the curatorial department in the Museum Rietberg. In addition to my position at the Rietberg I teach on Buddhism and Hinduism at the University of Zurich.

Doctor in Philosophy and Hispanic Literature, she has researched on the work of José Ángel Valente and Octavio Paz, key figures and bridges between Asia, Spain and México, and currently under the development phase of the project "The Deployment of the Look: Painting on José Ortega y Gasset, María Zambrano and José Ángel Valente".

MAITE GONZÁLEZ LINAJE ha sido miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores de México y está especializada en las relaciones interculturales entre China y Occidente a lo largo de la historia, haciendo énfasis en el arte. Es Investigadora del Instituto de Artes Plásticas de la Universidad Veracruzana y profesora universitaria. Ha recibido varios apoyos nacionales en México a sus proyectos.Cuenta con publicaciones específicas y ponencias sobre China en congresos y eventos.

MAITE GONZÁLEZ LINAJE has been member of the National Researchers System in México and she is specialized in the intercultural relationships amongst China and the West through History, with emphasis on art. She is researcher of the Plastic Arts Institute at Universidad Veracruzana and lecturer at the university. Her projects have received national support several times. She counts with specific publications and conferences about China in congresses and events.

SUSANA SANZ GIMÉNEZ es Doctora en Historia del arte contemporáneo (UCM) y Licenciada en Estudios de Asia Oriental (China), dedicada al estudio del arte contemporáneo en China, Taiwán y Japón. Su investigación se centra en el desarrollo de conceptos como la identidad, la frontera y la tradición en la obra de artistas contemporáneos del área asiática. Ha sido editora a cargo de la revista Art in China, y en la actualidad reside en Beijing (China) donde trabaja como profesora en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Beijing (CAFA) al tiempo que coordina la programación cultural del Instituto Cervantes de Beijing.

SUSANA SANZ GIMÉNEZ is Doctor in History of Contemporary Art (UCM) and B.A in East Asian Studies (China), devoted to the study on Contemporary Art in China, Taiwan and Japon. Her research is focused on the development of concepts such as identity, frontier and tradition in the work of contemporary artists in the asiatic area. She has been editor in charge of Art in China magazine, and currently she lives in Beijing (China) where she works as a professor at the Fine Arts Academy of Beijing (CAFA) while she coordinates the cultural programme of the Cervantes Institute in Beijing.

NEETI SETHI BOSE es doctora en Teoría del Arte por la University of South Wales en Sydney y actualmente es profesora y consultora en desarrollo comunitario en FLAME (Foundation for Liberal & Management Education) en Pune, India. Centra su actividad docente en arte y diseño, trabajando regularmente con grupos indígenas y desarraigados, especialmente mujeres y jóvenes artesanos. Neeti ha vivido y trabajado en India, Africa y Australia, lugares en los que ha investigado, trabajado, ideado y llevado a la práctica numerosos programas de desarrollo y formación.

NEETI SETHI BOSE PhD in Art Theory the University of South Wales, Sydney, is a Professor and Community Development Consultant at FLAME (Foundation for Liberal & Management Education) in Pune, India. She teaches art, design, art theory, visual culture and liberal arts; she also works with rassroots, with indigenous groups, women and youth, in particular with craftspeople, communities wanting to involve with arts and crafts for livelihoods; Neeti has worked and lived in India, Africa and Australia where she researched, taught, conceptualized and implemented many capacity building trainings and programs.
