Glyn Hambrook (BA Hons French & Spanish, Nottingham, 1977; PhD, Nottingham, 1986)was, until retiring at the end of October 2017, Reader in Comparative and European Literature at the University of Wolverhampton, UK and co-editor, with Dr Maike Oergel,  of Comparative Critical Studies. He is currently an Honorary Research Fellow in the Faculty of Arts, University of Wolverhampton and Profesor Honorífico in the Departamento de Estudios Ingleses, Universidad Complutense de Madrid.  His research focuses principally on the reception of Francophone literature in fin de siècle Spain, with particular reference to the work of Charles Baudelaire, but he has also published on broader geo-cultural and thematic dimensions of the European fin de siècle as well as on the position of comparative literature in relation to literary studies in the Anglosphere. Glyn Hambrook es Reader en literatura comparada y europea y editor, con Maike Oergel, de Comparative Critical Studies , la revista de la Asociación Británica de Literatura Comparada (BCLA), hasta su jubilación a finales de octubre de 2017,  Glyn Hambrook (Lic Filologías Francesa e Hispanica, Nottingham, RU, 1977; Doctorado, Nottingham, RU, 1986), es actualmente profesor honorífico del Departamento de Estudios Ingleses de la UCM e investigador honorífico de la Universidad de Wolverhampton, Reino Unido. Su investigacion se centra en el fin de siglo europeo y sobre todo en la recepción de la literatura francófona (específicamente la de Charles Baudelaire) en el modernismo espaNol. Ha publicado también sobre la situación de la literatura comparada en relación con los estudios literarios en los países de habla inglesa.
