Javier Pineda-Pampliega
Postdoctoral researcher (Margarita Salas contract)
My scientific interest is focused on eco-physiology and toxicology. During my doctoral studies, I investigated the effect of using landfills as a food source on the health of white storks, evaluating blood biochemistry, oxidative balance, telomere dynamics, and the presence of microorganisms. After obtaining my doctorate, I continued my training in bioinformatics, which allowed me to conduct my first postdoc at the Institute of Marine Research in Norway, preparing and optimizing databases related to nutrition and toxicology. Currently, I am in my second postdoc, at Lund University (Sweden), investigating the long-term effects of chronic diseases, focusing on gene expression evaluation.
